My First Con

Someone should remind me what comes of doing three cosplays in one week.
This is a very belated post--from 2013--for the sake of recording all of my con-going history.
I hope that you find this almost cute in the way you would look at a child learning how to walk instead of a silly cosplayer being way too ambitious.

I had been planning on attending Anime Matsuri in 2013 for about three months in advance. But, as usual, I procrastinated. I did not start my cosplays until spring break. That gave me five days.

I focused most of my time on my Steampunk Rose Lalonde.

Day 1:
Knitted some of the scarf.

I painted part of her Grimiore.

Sewed part of the tutu.

Then, I decorated some goggles that just came in. I thought they were going to not come in on time.

And then made a wrist piece out of an old corset.

I was exhausted. Quite ready for a nap. I planned everything out except for time to sleep.
Day two:
I got the corset and finished the tutu.

I remember these boots taking far too long to paint.

Day 3:
Finished the goggles and top hat!

… and gas mask. Yes. Gas mask.

Half way done with the belt….

Cut up boots that I will glue onto my old pointe shoes.

And part of a corset…

…and you can see 1/2 of the goggles I am making in the bottom.
Day 4 and 5 were not well documented, unfortunately.
However, these are the turnout photos from the con:

Sunday:
I had such a lovely time even though my feet hurt so much by the end of the day.
It is save to say that I have improved quite a bit since these photos. But, the cramming was fun.
Thank you for reading, love. Have a lovely day.
